Kazuya Hiramaru and Otters are considered parody of Hideki Sorachi and Gintama. Sorachi is well known for being a lazy bum who doesn't want to do more work than necessary just like Hiramaru while Otters doesn't have an amazing art, it's gag gets the story going, keeping him up in the top lists. Even though the gags are sometimes old, it feels mature at the same time... which is again similar to Gintama.

To be honest, I loved Bakuman chapter 37. I mean, finally we know the goal of Bakuman "to be #1 in questionaire for a long time even if the manga ends" and it was filled with hope. And pfff... Bakuman is getting reeeeeally good *A* seriously. I like all these jump secrets and inside informations!!!! XD And of course "how to create a manga" kind of thing is kinda cute. It's becoming more endearing anyway, even though this is very different from the other "how to be a mangaka" type manga I read. Most of them have the main character go through shit tons of horrible irl ordeals, like being prostitute, or being involved in the mafia and such lol.

Funny thing is... I always threw away those questionaires. I never thought I'd win a prize even if I entered so... I never did? D: while each vote is like, life and death duel for the mangaka! i had no idea XD XD

finally it got interesting. after all that sappy saiko x Azuki. we got takagi being cooler~~♥

I still don't have a fav character yet. normally it'd be Saiko type hmm... we'll see how far this goes.

Story's gotten a bit better... It's still shonen jump version of "how to be a mangaka." Most "how to be a mangaka" are more gritty, with harshness of reality hitting the mangaka every day. (One of them I read, this girl had to join the mafia lol) so it's weird for me to read one that's so... 'safe at home' feel to it hmm...

I think I'm gonna give up on bleach but.... all my friends keep telling me it's so good... I should just catch up. (Are they still trying to get orihime?)

Reccing a new manga: Nurarihyon no Mago


It's one of the latest Shonen Jump manga recced to me by shiroro~~~<3 He's an ex-assistant to Araki during Jojo's Bizarre Adventure~~~<3 Now that's pretty damn cool enough for me to take a look.

I suggest reading from the pilot chapter 0 (though chapter 0 does not at all have anything to do with the rest of the manga just like all pilot chapters like death note and naruto)

It's about a boy who's 1/4 Demon and 3/4 Human who's suppose to be the 3rd supreme commander of Youkai world. (which kinda reminds me of yuusuke from YYH) But his father is dead and his grandfather, The First, took over the control until he's of age (which reminds me of Naruto)

During the night, his youkai side takes more control while during the day, he's more human and he's kind to others. His human self hasn't really acknowledged his night time self yet. (Which reminds me of Yami/Yuugi from Yuugiou XD )

It's cute enough that I'll keep on reading. Each panel is heavy in graphics, and I love the penwork how he draws the youkai and such~~<3 sometimes he draws with that certain flair of the old japanese art~ (i don't know the terms XD)

I'm gonna give it some time, say about 6-7 books for it to actually grab me. But so far, it's interesting enough ^_^ It's probably a bit too early for me to give it a recommendation but oh well, I recced Bakuman and it's only 3 chapters long right now.

Planning to read Bakuman and Nuraihyon weekly. Now if they'd only scanlate Gintama weekly into English OTL.........

Now I'm still wondering if I should catch up on Bleach or not OTL.....
